Description |
We are working with a leading company in the field of subsea/downhole engineering in the oil & gas industry. Due to continuing expansion, they are opening a new R&D site in Stirling in the Scottish central belt.
There is a strong emphasis on design, development and proving new technology. To this end, they are currently recruiting mechanical engineers, designers and Finite Element Analysts.
The role of mechanical engineer involves working together with a team of people to develop new technology (often from a clean sheet of paper) and taking it through the concept, design, analysis and prototype stages. There is a heavy emphasis on analysis work - so you would work closely with the finite element analysts (or even do some of this work yourself).
The preferred background is for candidates with a degree level qualification in a relevant mechanical discipline + experience in subsea engineering. However, if you are suitably qualified and have good mechanical development experience in another industry, we would still like to hear from you. Mentoring & guidance will be available from the experienced product engineers that will be on site.
This is a almost unique opportunity to either continue your career in - or move into the oil & gas industry in a central belt location. The career possibilities are also good within an organisation that recognises talent and is proactive when it comes to staff training & development.
These positions are only available on a PERMANENT basis.
